About Lucinda
Qualified BACP registered counsellor
I am a neurodivergent therapist who has been practising person-centred counselling since 2016. I had the privilege to work for several years for the domestic abuse counselling charity, WAVES Counselling Project. Since 2020 I have been focusing on building my private practice, and working hard to provide clients over the age of 18 with a safe, judgement-free space where we can explore your feelings and work through any issues together, supporting you in discovering your own solutions in ways that will actually work for you. Reaching out can be very difficult, but my goal is to work at your pace in a gentle, empathic way.
Thanks to my work with WAVES, I have experience with partner and family abuse, both historic and recent, covering physical, emotional, financial, and sexual abuse. As people of all ages and genders can encounter this I have worked with a broad range of adult clients with other presenting issues as well, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD and cPTSD, addiction, and other chronic health issues.
My other area of experience is in supporting neurodivergent people to better understand themselves and the support they may need, whether that comes from a formal diagnosis or it’s something you’re just starting to consider may apply to you. I have predominantly worked with people who are Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexic, and OCD, but I will support anyone with any form of neurodivergence.
Anyone on the LGBTQ+ spectrum, whether out or not, including anyone exploring their gender in terms of genderqueer, non-binary, or any other term, will find a safe and confidential place with me.
I am a body-positive, fat-accepting, and health-at-every-size therapist.
I am exclusively an online and phone service, which gives greater flexibility in appointment times, such as later in the evenings. I am currently unable to offer sessions to children under the age of 18 unless emancipated or couples. The best way to contact me is through email or via the contact form on this website.
